Here's my question. Today a local tech at a Dodge dealer took the rear tail piece off my transfer case. The purpose was to replace the bushing and cup in the tail . When that came off the tech said the bearing was "welded" to the out put shaft. That was causing a vibration I've had for some time. The bearing had spun on the shaft. What would cause that? I thought the race was to stay put on the shaft anyway. Not welded but not turning. How could that happen?
This has me completly perplexed.
