There is a Sunoco pump in my town that was at $4. 49 as of this morning. Who can outdo that? I'll keep posting, I drive by 2 times a day.

In Sussex,NB this morning I saw $1. 32 L, with 3. 85L per USG, I make that to be $5. 08 per US gallon. ( based on the dollar at par, which it basically is)

Imagine that Pete! NY with the highest fuel prices in the nation. Anything to distract the rest of the country from our embarrasment about 7 days ago... . :-laf

the oil we have on this end of the country does not come from alberta, but from the middle east.

Not that it matters as the global price dicates what we pay. Gas is regulated here, set based on NY harbour price, so it's all connected.

Current high price is the reslut of high profits, fear, speculation, and the marketing of more fear and speculation.

Since the price of crude has stayed about the same the last few days I think when you get much above about $4. 20 there's gouging going on.

The amazing thing is, the Sam's Club in Clay, just 10 mile south (on the same highway), is selling diesel for $3. 95.

I highly doubt that as I type this that that Sam's club is still under 4. If it is, and I could find the time, I would be rounding up every loose gas can I could find, and the oil tank in the farm truck and making a trip to Clay. I would buy $3. 95 fuel all day... and grin from ear to ear while doing it. .



Still $4. 49 as of today, most of the Hess and Kwik fill stations are running between $4. 24 and $4. 39.



BTW- Monroe county is upstate, "Rochester", on the south shore of Lake Ontario, home of Kodak and Xerox

Well, the good news is today was the first day in 3 weeks the price didnt go up here in So Jersey. Stayed @ 3. 99 all day.

Filled the Ex... $148. 75 Yippee!!!

At this rate the Dodge wont ever see the light of day again.

Start gathering those tanks, I just filled up this morning, its still 3. 949!!!!!





BTW, I commuted to Irondequoit for 8 months back in 2000-2001. I stopped at the "104 Store" truck stop in Red Creek twice a week (NYS Rt 104 & 370). Boy those were the days, avg. furl price $1. 48/gal. !!!!

it dropped to 3. 82 in the last couple days at the cheap place but still 3. 99 at the rip off joints
