Bed conflict

I'm new to the board and have always been a mopar fan. I'm trying to find an '04 CTD Ram 2500 SLT Short Bed in Atlantic Blue but all I can seem to find are the standard 8 ft. beds. I drove my cousins 2500 8 footer and loved the way it rode, however it's a long truck and seems to be a PITA to park. Can you guys convince me to go the long bed route so I can take advantage of the incentives offered on the 04's as opposed to buying a new 05 and having to wait?

IMHO wait and get what you really want. You'll be looking at it for a loooong time so you might as well spec it out exactly the way you want... .

If your going to pull a 5th wheel get the long box in 97 you could only get a long box with the diesel and that's the only way I would have it now you got to many choices.

If I had seen this sooner I'd have said to go drive a Ford SuperDuty with a short box and then a Dodge with a long box with the same cab config and running gear. You wouldn't mind parking a long box.



Can't rememeber who said it about 2nd owners getting long boxes. Its true, I'll never go back. I needed a tank/tool box and with a short box I only would be able to put a bag of soil in afterwards.



Good luck, and short boxes sell easy on the used lot also.
