Does anyone out there have a suggestion for a bed cover that will allow me to continue to use the bed tool box? I currently have a CONTINCO box on the long bed. :confused:

Yes, I've got a ToolBox Tonno from Extang. They faxed me a sheet for dimensions and it fits very good. It has a seal on the front to help keep water from draining down the toolbox into the bed. I have no complaints, and would buy another. They only sell them in Black, so if you wanted to color coordinate your truck your stuck. The bows and adjustable along with the snaps on the side rails. BTW, Extang has a web site, hope this helps.

hey metal tech...

do you have a short bed or a long bed? are these available for a short bed???? thanks, tim

I have an

Access rollup cover behind my toolbox. It is called a "Toolbox Edition".

The front area that hits the toolbox has a tray that holds the rolled cover. This allows me to reach the latches. (I have a single lid with rear latch handles. )

I've got a long bed. Not sure if they come in shortbed, too.

Matt;

I like mine, too.

I can not remember if the Toolbox Edition comes in short bed as well as long bed versions.

I know the regular models come in short bed. I'm one of the few long beds in the area and most of the shorties with covers have an Access.

Truxedo

I just purchased a Truxedo cover. Of course the retailer I bought it from screwed up and didn't order the right size for my truck (I have wrap over bed caps that make the rear end narrower) The moron just crammed it to fit, which actually mishaped some of the pieces. I called Truxedo direct and they told me how to modify my cover to fit my truck, plus they sent me new parts to replace the ones ruined by "moron". They also went on to tell me that for a $20 fee they will custom fit a cover to your EXACT dimensions, regardless of type of toolbox, bedcaps etc. The reason I originally chose Truxedo over Access is that you can purchase it in several different colors. After seeing the customer service from the factory, I'll never buy a different brand. I only wish I would have avoided the "moron" and went to the factory first.

JohnE,

I'm chasing down a couple of the Toolbox Covers for some friends of mine and am told that they fit both long and short bed. There must be an adjustment in there. We'll know soon enough.
