so, what ya guys got to say about liners. Spray ins or insert?? I can't really get an idea of pros and cons of each. Price seems to be about the same if you want a good liner or a good spray in.

definetly get spray in... . Only con i have with that is sometimes it hard to slide stuff in and out... . but with a insert it will rub the paint off then it will rust underneath and you wont even know it..... Spray in the way to go... . Very tuff material, the inserts are waste of money... . JUST my . 02

I agree that spray in is the only way to go. I have had more than one of each and spray in liners are better. My personal choice is Line-X, but I had one Extreme that performed as well. Both drop in liners from the dealer/manufacturer did rust underneath and were much more difficult to keep stuff from sliding around. I have had Line-X over the rails on the last two trucks with a form fit heavy bed mat. It is a hard to beat combination. Just my . 02.

I just took my drop in out and had a liner sprayed in. I've had it for 3 years and there was no rust under it at all. It had rubbed the paint in several places, but not down to bare metal.

Chief complaint was that when I hauled anything I had to tie it down or it was all over the place.

We have two Dodge "work trucks" and both are Line-Xed. The lastest one we tried running with a bedliner that came from the factory and we ended up having a couple of dropped motorcycles as a result of the slippery surface when loading and unloading. The spray-in also helps dampen road noise and much easier to clean let alone the safety benefits and you actually gain bed volume.

I like the Turboliner. It has a better texture than line-x and looks factory. It also has a greater durability due to it being 100% polyurea instead of polyurathane like line-x. Turboliner has a temp range of -80* to 350* making it ideal for all weather conditions. Line-x is only good to 130* not sure on the negative temps. It is a fairly new line and was featured in this months issue of Diesel Power magazine. They had a wicked show truck at the SEMA show.

There are pics of it in the magazine article.

Definetely go with a spray in. My question: has anybody on here ever used Inyati? My dealer can get me a pretty good price for this one. I was thinking Line-X until I was told the Inyati price. Thanks

I have Amerigard, no idea what material they use, but the application looks better than buddies truck with Rhino (which is awful thick) and Line-X (not as 'fine' a finish. ) I have only had a year, but it looks great and performs well. I found out that brake fluid and battary acid do not eat it, but they will stain it slightly.

Another vote for Line-X here. And definitely go for the over the rail treatment. When you load and unload stuff, you always end up scratching the top of the bed. This prevents that and keeps it looking good.

Line-x

Over-the-rail Line-X is the only way to go. I asked for and got a commercial thickness. Just don't be around if your truck is new. You won't want to watch 'em rough up the inside of your bed. It's expensive but it adds value to the truck and you'll get your money back on re-sale. It also looks darn good in black!

I've had it in my truck for 64,000 miles and there's not a mark on it anywhere.

Definately get a Bed Rug from Wise Industries. It's a zip together plastic carpet liner that velcroes in. I just put mine in, way better than a spray in cause it provides impact protection and things don't move an inch. I went camping, slept back there and it's nice and soft. Looks like a million bucks, fits like a glove. I know, sounds cheap, but you have to check it out. I paid like $350 with tax. Lifetime warranty. I almost made the mistake of spray in. Capped the rails with Bushwacker bed rail and tailgate caps painted to match the truck. Again, impact protection.

Bedrug Plus Line-X

Chris, you wouldn't have made a mistake getting a spray-in AND a bedrug (check my signature). I have both. Yep, sure do, cost a bunch too. The bedrug is for my convenience - protects suitcases, provides a place for me and the dogs to hang out at night in case she-who-feeds-me throws us out - but the Line-X provides permanent protection that adds value to the resale.

I got the PERMATECH liner and i love it, at least 4 of my friends have the LINE-X and they wish they would of got the one that i have. I was actually gonna get line-x till i looked at the permatech and im glad i did! PERMATECH over the rails all the way!! Just my . 02$ worth
