I bought my truck used and it didn't have the rubber bed plugs that go into the front tie-down holes. Where I park I get a bazillion acorns and pine needles in the bed, most of which eventually wash into the tie-down holes. Being concerned that all of this rotting gunk might rust out the cross-channel under the bed, once a week I would pour a bucket of water into each hole to flush it out. I finally got tired of doing this, and found a better solution. My wife had just bought a 6-pack of plastic mesh pot scrubbers, and after commandeering two of them I found they were just the right size to stuff one into each hole. The best part is the water drains right through them, filtering out all the gunk. Cheap and effective. Since my truck is tail-high, if I had gone and bought plugs I would have had to punch drain holes into them anyway, so my bed wouldn't pool water (my drain slits got filled in when my spray-in liner was installed).

Rubber Plugs-Where to get them?

Anyone have the part number, or a source for the original rubber plugs? The pot scrubbers sound like a good idea, but also a PIA... kind of like the originals. Thanks. I searched the Parts Book, but did not find anything... even under Exterior Sheet metal-Plugs. Thanks... Jonathan

This may or may not help, but as I remember I "found" mine under the rear seat in the "cargo" box after I got home from the dealer when my truck was new. I was loading my jumper cables etc in box under the seat and they were under there like they belonged, lol.
