Just thought I'd throw out my 2 cents worth on bedliners. I recently installed a Line-X spray in bedliner in my '99 shortbed and I'M IMPRESSED! The install looks factory, it's easy to clean and the stuff (a combination polymer/catalyst compound) is TOUGH! Since the install, I've hauled a lot of different items(furniture, firewood, dog crates) and not a mark or scratch. Had a "drop-in" liner in my old truck and never again. I looked at Rhino Linings prior to my installing the Line-X and was not impressed with the product. Maybe it was the installer, maybe not. But it looked as though someone had thrown a bucket full of asphaltum into the truck bed.
Bottom line... looking for a spray in liner, look at Line-X. I think you'll like what you see.
My opinion.

Ed is that "Line-X liner a west coastbrand or do you know if it is national, wouldn't know a web sight would you? Thanks in advance, Pete

Hiya Pete, I have a Line-X and am very pleased with it. I'm in Okla. and had mine done in OK. City. I think Line-X is nationwide and they have a website, dunno the url addy but I stumbled across it a while back. Lou

You should always check the links page. I don't have everything there -- but this one was.

Line-X is nation wide although, they are not located in "every" locale. I had a Rhino in my last truck, Line-X in my Ram. They were/are both good liners. The quality of the preparation/installation is more important than the liner material itself!

Pete,
Line-X is a franchise headquartered in Santa Ana, Calif. I had to drive to Phoenix to get my truck done. That was the closest dealer to me (90 miles south!)As I said, I am really pleased with the product. And John is right, the prep is really important. If not done correctly, the liner won't adhere and then you have problems. With mine, so far, so good.

I had my Red 99 3500 sprayed about two months ago by a local company here in Kingsland. They use the Speedliner brand. Speedliner claims to be the toughest spray on bedliner. Go to the following URL and see what you think:

I'm really happy with mine. I've hauled firewood, some slate and other assorted stuff and haven't had a problem whatsoever. Good luck on whatever you choose.

I am as impressed with it as you are yours. Me thinks it must be the installer!

I had a Diamond Liner "sprayed in" last week and it came out great! The guy who did the work said he has done over 3500 trucks since he opened and almost all of his work was now referrals. He said the material used is about the same but how the surface is prepared before spraying is extremely important. Think that no matter what one chooses, it might be a good idea to ask around and see who does the best job.

They have a website http://www.diamondliners.com/

I've got a 96 and had the Rhino liner, after about a year, it started rusting around the edges near the tailgate and also on the tailgate. After a misfortunate incident with a large oak, I had to replace my tailgate. This time I had the Line-X sprayed on and it looks so much better and seems to be more durable. I'd go with the Line-X.

I have had the Arma Coat put in 2 rigs and it is very similar to Line-X in that both are sprayed in hot. I think they are the same price as well. I would stay away from the liners that are cold sprayed.
