<font color=blue>Well after several months of waiting Perma-Tech finally had a dealer open up here in Omaha. I know the "more" common liners are Rhino and Line-X.

I been waiting on Perma-Tech because I was interested in their "Perma-Glow" glow in the dark liner. I was interested until I found out the price..... #ad

Gonna let them shoot the bed anyway color matched with metallic flakes. Also quoted me about $415 to do the rockers, does that sound about right?

Just wondering if anyone has first hand experience with the Perma-Tech?

Kat, I have had a Permatech liner in my truck for a year and a half and am very pleased with it. I had a Rhino liner in my last truck and it was good as well, but it did fade within a year - the Permatech still looks brand new. As a matter of fact my truck is at the permatech dealer right now getting the rockers and inside of the wheel wells (the metal part) sprayed right now.

Kat, it looks like you aren't going to be hauling gravel, soil or manure with that truck #ad
so you might want to also check out www.BedRug.com I absolutely love mine. I also like that when I crawl around in back on my knees I don't feel the steel bed at all! Guaranteed for life, cleans easy, removes easy, and protects the bed. Check it out. Just wanted to show you another option.

Well to be honest I have been "Set" on Perma-Tech for a while now, just been waiting to find a dealership within 500 miles of me. I really liked their "blue" Perma-Glow (Glow in the dark) until they told me it would be $1500! #ad
Without seeing it firsthand I am very relunctent to get it for that much cash. Would be an exspensive "oops".

I am getting color matched (100 % UV Resistent) with metallic flakes and over the rail for bout $550. He says its garenteed to not fade at all, which is why I chose them over Rhino.

Just got back from dropping off the truck so we'll see what it looks like tommorrow... ...

Steve, -

Did you go over the rail, if so how far down did you come? How much are they charging you for the rockers? Would also be interested in pictures when ya get it back so I can decide how much I want done on my rockers.

I will post pictures after I pick up the truck - should be tomorrow or friday. I'm having the rockers sprayed in a dark grey to match the grey plastic on the front bumper (it's a light grey right now) and the inside edge of the wheel wells in black.

Kat - I did go over the rails, they just went to the edge of the body and then I have aluminum rails covering over that. The liner protects the paint and sheetmetal from the aluminum rails great. They're charging $330 for the rockers but they are getting it all prepped and ready to go (bumper and nerf bars removed, paint already scuffed). I hit a deer two weeks ago in the side of the truck so I just had the body shop do a primer coat on the rockers.

Kat,
I have the Permatech also and it's great. I checked out Rhino Linings and their Dealer said that it would have to be brought back every year and treated with a U. V. protectant. Permatech has it built in. I have the black liner and it looks brand new. VERY tough stuff. I stayed under the rail as I have diamond plate bed caps on top of 3M adhesive body tape to protect the paint. The caps don't even touch the paint and there was no need to bolt them on once I saw how well they were attached with the tape. They'll never come off.
Anyone else have the rockers done and how much did it cost? Can they match the colors pretty close?

!! Went by the body shop today to check out the truck to make sure they took care of all the chips and stuff before the bed liner material goes on. They had bad news for me - the liner place was supposed to have an appointment for me for tomorrow but they somehow lost it and can't get to the truck until saturday! Then it has to go back to the body shop to have the bumpers and fender liners reinstalled. I'm going to be without my baby until monday at the earliest #ad
! I'll post pics as soon as I pick it up.

Kat, Perma-Tech is the only one so far that I can find that will warrant the color against fade in writing. Both the Rhino and Line-X people said that they will not warrant the color. Pete

I'll be picking up the truck here in bout an hour, we'll see how it turned out... ... ...

Was just wanting opinions... ... the UV warrenty is what really sold me on it.
