I installed it about 2 weeks ago, one of those things you get and wonder how you got along without. No more climbing in the truck to retrive stuff I can't reach through the windoors on the camper shell. Loading and unloading stuff is a breeze now.

Well built and easy to install. It's heavy though, I guess 200 lbs. You need 2 people to remove it. Does make the truck ride a bit better in the rear.

Had some of these (may have been a different brand though) in work trucks at my last employer. We were loaded heavy and that, no doubt, contributed to the problem, but they were basically junk. Bearings went out on the slide, failed to latch more than once, so landed in the road going up steep hills, etc. A very neat idea, but the ones we had anyway were not built for heavy loads or the long haul.

Don't mean to spoil your fun, just relating experiences with that type of product, hopefully yours is a different and better brand.

'tis not so

Having some big problems with one of these. Will post more as remedy happens, or not.

Advice for now. If you are going to put ANY weight on this, don't do it. The rated capacities are far overstated!
