I have a good friend who just lost his Auto trans in his 93 3/4 4X4. Is there a good strong way to make his trans handle his power. He is running a 16cm2 turbo, HP Injectors and pump turned up w/ 4" exhaust. He isn't a member yet so I'm asking this for him. His name is Danny Walton & His E-mail is steelcomp45@aol.com

Have a 93 that had a transmission problem last year. There are a few things that can be done. Had extra clutches installed along with a shift kit. There were a few ports that were drilled out to increase pressure but I don't know much more than that. I have a magazine article some where and will see if I can find it and if so I'll let you know what magizine it is in.
Tell your friend that if he tows a trailer to be careful about towing in overdrive. It is ok on the flats but watch it in the hills. The OD section of mine failed and that was what took out the rest of it.

I also have a 93 auto, it has a slippage on the 2-3 shift under power. If you could give us any more information it would be nice.

Found the magazine I was talking about. It is "Truckin" July 99 issue. I talked to my rebuilder about the mods and he knew what I was asking him. He made the Mods and so far it is working good. Still has a very slight hesitation when shifting from third to OD when getting on the freeway though.
