Just got the truck back from the transmission shop...

So my buddy's driving, and decides to race some street bikes from a red. Stalls the TC to about 1800 rpm's and guns it on green. I thought we laid down 100 ft. or so, 'till I'm driving by the next day and decide to take my estimating wheel to it.

Kind of surprised me, never seen a burnout that long myself. Looks like the limited slip works.

nice! What components did you have put in? What brand? and the final cost? Looks like he had some fun. It also appears she got a little squirly on him :-laf Congrats.

hmmmmm Wouldn't 344 feet be more than a football field length? That seems kinda long. You sure you don't need to check that calibration on your measuring wheel?

State Street and about 1700 South???

Nice, I am surprised you pulled it off without getting harrassed...

That's the place, and I thought the same thing when I saw the picture!!!

I have a friend that used to live just behind that checker...

1700 south state, thats right. Someone double check, I measured it 3 times. Longer than a football field. Before I posted the pic I drove over there to measure again because the pic does not look right, looks more like 50 feet.

Now you all have me wondering, I'll be up there tonight, so I'll double check.

I went with Goerend Bros. Triple disk converter and valve body. Billet input and BD flexplate. Kevlar flex band and 4. 4 ratio lever. Chirps the tires at 1-2 and 2-3 shift, I told him to run the valve body pressure up to 200 psi. Stall is low, 1750 rpm shifts puttin' around, 2800 or so wide open. That's with TST on 5x5, and 85hp fuel box. Just got the Bullydog downloader back today, that box REALLY takes care of the turbo lag and off the line sluggishness of the 600. Think I'm over $4000, don't want to think about it right now. Ended up being the same cost as a DTT est. I got.

I thought that street looked familiar, I will also have to go and check it out, I just work down the street on 700th So. Hey ChrisKringle, you like the PowerPup? I just got mine with the Crazy Larry and man is it sweet! I don't know if I'm willing to try what you did or if I even can do it with a stock 48RE.

Oh and what is that 85 hp fuel box you were talking about, and where did you get it?

Just measured againwith other est. wheel. Same, ends at south side of motorcycle shop entrance case anyone cares. Heck it's 80' across the intersection from sidewalk to sidewalk at the widest part.

Think my stall is too low. Like driving around in lockup. Anybody elses that tight?

It's the Dr. Performance Predator. Get it on ebay.

Nice scratch!

Who did your transmission work? With all that BOMBing, (if you don't do your own service) do you take it to the dealer for service without removing it? If so, who?

Yeah I don't take my truck in for service. Had it in there a bit ago for some odds and ends, just left everything on. Don't expect warranty on misuse.

Deep stage, or reverse? Well we weren't drivng down the road backward, as far as deep stage I don't know what that is. I told him to build some boost for lauch, and that's it.

Very nice.

But where is everyone? There's nobody on that street!?!?!?

Being that it is Utah, my guess is it's a Sunday morning and the people are either hungover or in church. LOL

Don't ask how I know. :-laf
