Hey guys... Haven't been on here much in the last year and a half or so, I'm obsessive-compulsive, and my efforts have been focused on my '61 VW Crew-Cab... but now that that's coming to an end as far as the mechanicals go, and the fact that I just 100,000 miles on my truck, I'm starting research on modding it.

Here's where I need help.

I had a Smarty for a while and loved it, but could only go to level 3 without slipping the clutch, so clutch is first.

I travel for a living, we have a 39 ft. fifth-wheel that pull all over the country, so keeping towing in mind, and the fact that the Truck is our daily driver... I need to keep things not too radical, looking mainly to up the power primarily in the low-to mid rpm area, and if at all possible not lose any mpg's.

So far after the clutch I'm thinking about the smarty.

After that... looking for advice on...

Injectors

Turbo (single)

Water-meth injection

Air intake

Any advice is welcome...

Thanks!

If I was going to update the wifes truck the injectors would be F-1's and the clutch a South Bend if she had a manual, next probably HTT or industrial Injection for a turbo and AFE for the intake, I think I would go with the new oil-less system they have.

I'll ditto the F1 injectors and the AFE Pro-Dry intake. Turbo I would definitely go with the new HTT stainless exhaust housing. You are towing, so you might want one a little bigger than mine. For Water-meth injection, Snow Performance, CoolingMist, and Devil's Own are the three names that came up during my research. Performance wise I think they are all about the same, I went with CoolingMist because they seem to have marginally better hardware, and I liked the possibility of programmability that you get with them, but truthfully I'll probably never use that feature. The controller is butt ugly, so I hid it in the console underneath my middle seat. Water/meth is definitely a good thing -- it added enough power to shatter my transmission input shaft. :p
