I just got a new transfer pump under warranty. Of course they put in the in-tank pump. I havent tried to pull my 4000 lb TT with it yet. Will test drive over Snoqualmie Pass this weekend.

This morning I had the low pressure led alert light installed. I noticed that if just running empty, if I go up a pretty steep hill and yomp on it, the led will light up. Im guessing that, going over the mountain, or maybe even just getting on the freeway, it will be lit.

Has anyone had this experience ? What will the dealers response be ? Do they have a fix (or just an answer) for this ? The only mod I have installed is an ez.

How much fuel was in the tank was it fairly empty I don't know what triggers

the light but a light will not be as accurate as a gauge?

what pressure is your warning light set to go off at. many people who have intalled the intake pump have complained about the low pressure of the pump and most of led kits are made for the original pump. somewhere around 6 or 7 psi i think.

Well, I thought the mechanic said it is set to go off at 5psi. But I think Ill double check with him. Isnt 5psi the low end of the spec ?

yup, sounds like you may want to invest in a guage to keep a better eye on what it normally runs with and without a load.

I just had the intank pump installed at the dealer, pressure is 8 psi idle 6 cruise. I had the 4600 pusher on the back and always had great pressure and still the vp crapped out, I'm going with this in tank setup and see what happens. Not really seeing many intank pumps failing. how many vps have gone out with the intank setup, not many yet.
