Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Before I purchase my new mods...

Before I purchase my new mods I thought Id run it by you guys and see if I need to consider something else.



I just swapped a 55 block in and Im starting with a clean slate. I just sold my 275s and I have a line on my EZ. Im planning on buying a Smarty and DD Stage 3 Jammer 100HP Nozzles. Will I need a different boost elbow and do I need to keep the Edge for boost fooling? Just to be clear I will not tap the wire cause I dont want any additional stress on the VP44.



The truck is a tow rig for a 16K trailer and I want the power but I dont want to burn it down in the process. Do you think I will be able to keep the EGTs under control or should I step down to stage 2?Currently I have a hard time getting the EGTs over 1100, most of the time while towing they linger around 950.

Sell the EZ get the smarty and injectors. Also get 4 inch exhaust and cold air intake of your choosing and you will be set for what you want. Don't worry about the boost elbow it will do. Or could also do a turbo upgrade.

I ran 90hp injectors with a stock hx35 & a comp box... . it was a awesome combo for towing heavy, but I know the smarty is gonna be better yet. I agree with BILLVO..... smarty & 100hp sticks, cold air, exhaust. You'll be set up for pulling.
