A long way up...

Adding length to a Jordan Brake Controller Cable?

Consolidated Freightways shut down just before our move from Denver to Tucson, so I had to tow the trailer to Tucson with the Dodge CTD. Got 18 MPG too. :)

A couple of weeks ago, we had a 40' trailer full of electrical material that needed to be taken to another job site. When the truck (FL 120 w/300 Cummins) came out to take it, we found out that the brakes on the trailer were locked up and the FL could'nt get it down the hill where the trailer had sat for 2 years. We could'nt get them loose, so I said I could see if my truck could pull it down the hill and out into the street where the truck could get better traction. Well, it was hard but I got it down the hill and out in the street. The truck still did'nt have enough traction, so I had to pull it back another 70-80 feet on the pavement to get it close to the curb. A mechanic came out and fixed the brakes, and off went the trailer. Needless to say, the driver of the FL was in love with my truck and asked quite a few questions while he was there. Swelled my head just a little. :D

Sorry for the long story, but I had to brag at least once.

towing??????

my old company,,,,,, just curious, where is the converter dolly, did you have a custom, pental hook and shank built to handle this, plus an air compressor and air tank with air lines to the trailer installed?????? i'll bet very costly to. how much weight??

just my penny's worth.

The pic was taken before I hooked up. I didn't need the dolly 'cause I dropped it on the 5er hitch. Air brakes? ... I don't need no stinkin' brakes.

Actually, CF did a great job for me. Moved all our stuff from Denver to Tucson for less than $1300. I had to load and unload. No ramp to get the stuff in, but we used the Dodge to move the stuff between the storage unit / apartment to the trailer. Same process on the other end. They closed the doors a week after we got here. God is good to us, but a good friend of mine who set up the deal for me lost his job when they shut down.

Good try there klenger. Hey, we'll have to get together sometime. Maybe I can help you adjust to life in the desert and get some Arizona pin stripping on that nice looking truck:D :D ;)

I live in the Picturerocks area.

towing with anchors down

I've taken off a couple of times with my travel trailer jack still down. If it weren't for the noise, who knows how far I might have gone?! Once I even plowed compacted gravel about 9 inches deep on an RV site.
