I thought id post a intersting find that i stumbled on by accident .

check out Lakewood industries website , they have scatter sheilds to

fit the gen 1 cummins and the gen 2 and newer cummins the gen 1 works for the gut bag conversion as well
 
thats the same here , im a cheap sob my self , or maybe just littel budget LOL



there scatter sheild are not cheap either !!! for mopars either
 
Quick Time makes good housings (they are now owned by Lakewood) but I don't see how they would work completely (meaning, providing safety against a clutch or flywheel explosion) with an aluminum block adapter. You also cannot use a block plate because of that adapter. If you get one, carefully check its alignment (as you should do for the stock housing as well) for a 5-speed application. They won't work with 6-speeds because the bell housing is an integral part of the transmission. I use a Quick Time on my Oldsmobile.
