Does anybody have a bell housing blanket that they run all the time or do you just put it on when you go to "compete"? Would there be any cons to putting it on and just leaving it on? How much of a PITA is it to take on and off?
I use the same blanket that Gene and Shawn use, I left it on one time for about 50 mi while pulling a trailer and I will not do it again, Things were getting a little hot. Dean
I use the EEP Blanket and put it on just before pulling, take it off right after afterwards if I don't come in first place, if I come in first place I take it off after celabrating
There is quite a $$ difference between these two blankets. Whats the difference other than $$? Will the one from summit fit around the 6speed bell housing?
And, is it thick enough to stop the pieces or just slow them down?
I was just looking in a summit catolog and see the SFI 4. 1 trans blanket is on sale for march/april for $69. 88 it says it is 47 x 11. 5 and is red only part # RCI-7808A. If this will fit I may have to jump on a deal like that.
