Any tips on attaching the piece of the belly bar to the frame on the gas tank side. I don't want to weld it on and it looks like the only way to get bolts on would be to drop the gas tank. Any suggestions?
Not sure what a "belly bar" is, but if you bolt thru the frame to mount a plate type mount, make a backer plate with nuts welded on for the top side. Mark and drill frame, then slide in the backer plate, line up the holes, and bolt it together.
My Torque Lifts came with a kind of coil spring affair that I run through the hole, then fished up between the tank and the frame. Screwed the bolt into the end of it, then pulled it back down and thru the hole in the frame. A bit tedious, but it worked.
