The steering box is pushed over against the engine, but not sure if the damage is just up front or not??

If the rest of the frame is still true , probably. That is the area between the front suspension and bumper right?

It should be possible to fix it properly. Most insurance companies wouls probably total it though.

If the repair was coming out of my pocket i would fix it for sure. we repair frames like that all the time and if the frame tech know what he is doing it would not be a problem. This is what I do for a living that is why my signature is iron man. Have any more ? email me at -- email address removed --

Iron Man,

how would that frame be repaired? Straighten the existing piece or cut off the damaged section and weld in a new section?

Brian from what I see in the picture I would more than likely strg the frame as it sits. We are not dealing with high strg. steel or hydro form which would make it more difficult. There is a factory joint under the cab if the damage behind the knee was to great to justify the time to repair where you could put a used piece in but you have to rember the used piece was in the junk yard for a reason.
