Bent sway bar links

I was at the dealer today getting my recall flash, and the service writer pointed out that my sway bar links were all bent up. Both sides the same. I have a dealer-installed factory leveling kit on the front and that's it. The truck has never been off road. He implied that it's an issue with lifted trucks, but not with just the leveling kit. The do look pretty wimpy.



Is this a common problem, and how does it happen? I searched and only found one post about this, 2 years ago, with not a lot of info. Is this something that should be covered under warranty?

Yep they are prone to bend. I went with some after market links to solve the problem.

Mine bent when I put my level kit on

My factory ones also bent after lift. There are many options available but I used the Maxx Links part # SMX-1227L which is for a 1" to 3" lift. Install was easy and straight forward.

They bend when the front end is at full droop... ... .

Thanks everyone! Sounds like sturdier aftermarket ones are in order, designed for leveling kits.
