Sled Pulling with an HX40

ATS Exhaust Manifold

Howdy all, I have a 03 Ca. edition CC 4x4. I am looking to get rid of the lag time that happens after you put your foot into the throttle. I hate that delay and slow acceleration. Any ideas on the best bang for the buck. Don't have much to spend. I've read about the edge ez, tow pro, plus a bunch of others. I will be towing a 35' 5th wheel with this truck, but right now I drive it to work and back every day (120 miles round trip). Thanks in advance. John:D

first gauges... need gauges before you add fuel. . PM Joe Donnelly, as he has an 04 with 500+ HP. I am sure he would be glad to talk to you, and give you more info than you know to do with.

Well this is my take on your "best bang for the buck " issue. I think the number one item to do first is a set of good gages. If you go with three, it would be BOOST, EGT,FUEL PRESSURE. That would be a great start. The next area to work on depends on your driving habbits. If you run alot of miles, highway and secondary roads then I think a good set of shocks would be welcome. And then a new AFE intake air system. This flows much more air, and the filters are washable. They I suppose some sort of fueling box.

Thanks for the input. Gages are a given, just trying to figure out which configuration I want. I want to get rid of the dead spot that happens when you first put your foot into it from a dead stop. I swear it takes 20 seconds to start moving and then another 20 to start picking up speed, I'm exaggerating a little I'm sure. That and the rough ride are my only complaints so far. Thanks again. John
