There are dozens of combos, all depending on what HP you are looking for and how the truck will be used. There are also about a dozen good diesel hot rod shops out there that can help you achieve your goal. I'd love to hear your definition of "sensible".

When I chose the word sensible, I was kind of reaching for the right word. What I mean is well engineered. If there's a dozen kits available, one of them might look like it was designed by Rube Goldberg, another one might look like it was a high school science project and another one might look like it was designed by somebody who really knows what they're doing and has been at it for a while. Well laid out, making efficient use of space, requiring minimal modification to other components, but yet being easily accessible and serviceable, and very sturdy and reliable. That would be my idea of sensible. The first step for me would be to figure out whose kit or set of pipes and mounts, is the best. Then after that I could pick the turbos. This would be for very heavy towing.

Very heavy towing? What does that mean? I tow "heavy" IMO and do it without issue with a stock HX-35.

What kind of hp/tq are you putting down? Ever hit the dyno? You have a list of engine mods? Tough to recommend a kit without knowing a little more info.

^^^^ What he said. Determine what your power goal is and then you can select the best compound kit to achieve that goal. Too big and it will lag, too small and it'll get hot. Either way, you'll have to do it again.
