I like the pickin and singin much more than a fancy (loud and flashy) "stage show".

Van Halen was Tough from 78-mid 80's. I saw them in 1980 and they just lit the place up.

Saw Ted Nugent warmed up by the Scorpions and Def Lepard in 1980, I was 16 and all the guys in def lepard were under 18 that was an awesome show also.

Had a buddy who took his Dads truck at 14 and drove it 60 miles to Baton Rouge and saw Kiss, must have been like 78. Still feel like that would have been the greatest show ever that I didnt get to see.

I went to school (Arcadia High) with the members of Van Halen

Attended many backyard Friday night partys before they hit the big time.

Even played for my wife's combined with a couple of other friends 18th birthday.

All happened in Monrovia. man that was the time of cords(levi's) and wallabe's(shoes) (sp)

I just moved to calif from ohio in 1970 :D man was that culture shock :)

I remember seeing Van Halen on their 1984 tour, David Lee Roth was pretty whacked out and his singing was unintelligible for most of the show (to my ears anyway). Most interesting thing I recall from that show was watching Mike Anthony and realizing he was an *outstanding* bass player and responsible for much more of the Van Halen "sound" than I had though. Ha ha I remember the warm up band was a local unknown, before VH took the stage things were starting to get UGLY because of the suckage level.

Wow, I can only imagine what those times were like. Was Daved lee roth a nut back then? When did they guy loose his mind?

Definately Montgomery Gentry. Seen them 8 times... this summer will be 9.

Toby Kieth puts on a good show

Alabama on their Fairwell Tour puts on a great 4 hour show!

Still the boys are the best

Praise In The Rockies in Estes Park, Co. is always awesome for Christian music. I've seen Tait, Third Day, Micheal W. Smith, Jars of Clay,... too many to remember. I also saw Pink Floyd at the L. A. Coliseum, no idea what year, '88 maybe. Journey and The Outfield was good too at McNichols Arena.

Are you happy now, KBennett?

WHATEVER!

I think the best Christian concert I have ever been to was Michael W Smith at the Opera House in Chicago. I think it was the Big Picture tour. Degarmo and Key and Mylon Lefevere rocked Edmund Chapel at Wheaton College pretty good.

1) BB King at Bumpershoot in Seattle, 1989

2) Echo & the Bunnymen at the Starry Night in Portland, 1988

3) Love & Rockets at Bumpershoot in Seattle, 1989

4) Van Halen at the Memorial Coliseum in Portland, 1981

5) Leann Rimes at Spirit Mountain Casino, 2010

It was unbelievable. It exceeded my expectations by a lot. The guy next to me said that David Gilmour showed up and played at the Dallas show. That would've been sweet to see. The guys that did his parts were way better than I thought they would be. In fact, it would be difficult to tell the difference at all.

The David Gilmour rumor was false. Here is a video from the Dallas show of Comfortably Numb:

Darn, forgot about Jethro Tull !!!

Maybe we forgot, because we are getting old? ( Sure that it )

Stick

Tull is my favorite concert by a long shot (3rd row middle in Spokane, WA in 99). I keep looking, but they just don't get close to NM that much.

Nice Video. It's too bad Waters & Gilmour can't get along for 1 tour.

Save this video! This is a video showing the pig flying over Battersea Power Station, which is the cover for '77 Animals
