Loving my new toyo mt's, hands down best riding mud tire I've ever had. Very silent to for what they are or maybe thats the 132 sq ft of dynamat?

I had 12. 50x37x16 SSR's on my 94 2500 diesel and they were great tires. After purchasing them they were shaved true with a machine and balanced on the wheel hub assembly and did take a fair amount of weight to get right but they were for all intents and purposes great tires and had around 40,000 miles when I finally sold the truck.

When I purchased a recent 2nd Gen truck I again pondered the choice of tires and due to the reputation of the Toyo's on the various boards, their great wear and handling characteristics, their balancing ability and their E range capability, it was a no brainer.

Price was around what I had previously paid for the SSR's so I did not feel that played a factor in the decision, what did prove a deciding factor in favor of the Toyo's was the fact that each tire on an American Racing Mojave took less than a 1/4 ounce of weight per wheel / tire combo and the only black sheep of the 4 took a little over a 1/2 ounce so it was mounted on the rear to flatten it out.

The tires have great road manners, meet the capacity of my trucks specs, are relatively quiet and wear is about as good as it gets for such an aggressive and large M/T tire.

YMMV but I have been converted to the Toyo's on their very strong points. The company makes a very strong and capable tire and the production and quality control of these tires is unsurpassed IMHO.

Personally had great luck with the COOPER SST's, however, only a 'D' rated tire. Upgraded my rims to 18" XD Diesels, and a set of Interco TrXus M/T's in 33/12/5/18. FANTASTIC! Have about 10K on them and just now seeing signs of wearing. Excellent mud and snow reliability, believe me, have tested them more'n once! Kinda pricey though, around 300/tire. My 2 cents.
