I have a Remington Microscreen that I use everyday that gets pretty close. Not as close as my Mach 3 or Fusion, but not bad for an electric. Plus, it didn't cost a rediculous amount.

I hated shaving (with blades or electric) until I built our house and put a mirror (with a heat pad behind it) in the shower wall. Quick, close, with no mess or iritation. :cool:

I've always been partial to Norelco rotary heads, mostly because I don't like the buzzing and vibration of the other kind. My new Norelco and my old one (bought in '85, I think) will both remove 4 days of stubble relatively easily, and get down to baby-face smooth. It does help to have the whiskers dry, but still damp from a shower.

There are times I could swear that, by the time I finish shaving (10 minutes or so), the first side needs to be redone. :)

I've probably got the worse shaving face there is, a Baby one with steel wool for wiskers that grow in 3 differnet directions.

Having to shave 6 days a week I can tell you any high Braun to me is the best, but there expensive.

Is that using razors?

Have you used the others? Panasonic, Remington, Norelco?

I had a Remington MicroScreen for years and finally got tired of replacing the screens and cutters. There's nothing worse than getting a hole worn in your screen and not realizing it until you scratched the heck out of your face. I now go the heated shower mirror route and couldn't be happier. Way closer shave and much faster!

I've been using Brauns for about 10 years. Tried the Norelco twice and returned them. IMHO, none of them are really all that good, but I don't want to go back to a blade. It messed up my skin too much.

Interesting subject, shaving. I was watching a TV show about a comet that crashes into the earth, and what life would be like after the impact. People starving, no water, no food, no sun light for 30 days, yada, yada, yada, ... but all the guys were clean shaven every day.

I agree with you there! Nothing beats shaving in the shower, can almost get away with shaving every other day... . almost. Maybe if the days were only 18 hrs instead of 24. I thought having to shave as a freshman in high school was cool, till I joined the army 10+ years ago and have had to shave everyday since:{

So I bought a Braun 360. ($139 costco) I can say it does seem to get closer than the Norelco. It will take some time getting use to holding it though. Also there seems be be more maint. pieces to replace.

I have nothing to add to this thread, as I use a blade. I just wanted to mention that I saw exactly 1/2 of that same exact show... wish I'd seen the rest.

I did buy those fancy-pants state-of-the-art Braun units for my father and father-in-law a couple years ago. They both raved about them.
