Alright I know this is a dead horse, but I have read every injector thread on the entire intraweb. I want a very slight increase over stock, capable of staying cool while towing. I think I am more unsure of what to do now after all the research than when I started. I have it narrowed down to PDRs 190s or Ducky Fuel Injections Sac 5x.012 or VCO 5x.010. I think the 190s would be where I need to be power wise but I have heard so many people complain of them hazing terribly and some even say they lost power over the stockers. The Ducky brands are probably a little more than what I want power wise, but seem to be a good clean injector, and I guess are made by the guy that used to do the injectors for SDX. I would preffer new over repops , but any help on size, and who is the best to get them from would be appreciated. My mods include 3200 gov spring, 60/16 H1c, fuel screw cranked in , afc tuned for minimal low boost smoke.

I have a set of Red Oak Diesel 50 or 60 horse injectors in mine, been in there so long I forget what they are ! With my Super B , exhaust and mild pump mods, I am very pleased the way my '93 tows my enclosed trailer !

What you have to watch on 190's. Bosch 190's are a 5 hole injector. A lot of shops are selling 4 hole injectors as 190's. The 4 hole injectors have the wrong spray angle for a intercooled engine. True 190's burn clean. The holes sizes add up to less surface area than a stock IC injector. But the power is almost the same.

A friend had a set of 5 hole 190's he used in two different W350's. We towed a lot and heavy. Most of the time when the truck left the yard it was around 21K GVCW. The pump was set for towing and not max power. No smoke issues or EGT issues. The pump had a cut factory fuel pin. Any after market pin will most likely cause EGT problems.

So after that long post. Ask if the injectors your buying are 4 or 5 hole. If 4 hole walk away. PDR used to sell the 5 hole injectors. That's where my friend got his.

I actually talked to PDR and they are now selling the 4 hole 190 s. And that was my concern. Anybody know where to get the 5 hole 190s without custom nozzles?
