My 92 D350 is having a small blueish/gray smoke problem at first good start up and about 15 minutes until it gets up in good operating temp. Daniel has told me it's problem a mix between some bad fuel and could stand a strong mixture of fuel additive/conditioner etc. I put some cheap ***** fuel conditioner in it when I put fuel in it not long ago and where I got fuel was questionable. So I'm going to go by tomorrow and buy some really good fuel treatment and fill up at my regualr fuel stop and see if that will help it a good bit. Not trying to start a debate just want to know the name of a good fuel additive to go in the tank. Thanks a lot

valvoline makes a diesel fuel conditioner that has the cummins label on the front. I've been using that and seems to work fine. Dump the whole bottle in if your fuel is real bad get two.

I use Stanadyne Performance Formula but it does not have an injector cleaner. For that I use Valvoline Diesel fuel injector cleaner or Pennzoil Regane - both work very well.

The white smoke you see might come from the KSB solenoid advancing timing about 5 degrees when your truck is cold. This is what it is designed to do. I say this because it clears up after the engine warms up.

Well I'm gonna call and annoy Sam tomorrow asking some questions :) My truck will smoke for 15 minutes AFTER start-up. Some said it might be that the KSB or whatever it's called is screwed up. . who knows,I gotta find out what is it and WHERE it is first  I feel stupid LOL
