Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Best limited slip to buy?

I picked my truck up new several years ago with an open rear diff. It's driving me nuts (short trip) having the rear wheels break loose on wet pavement when accelerating from a stop sign, stop light and looking stupid spinning "a" wheel in the mud while others watch. (Not that I am purposely trying to cause environmental havoc). Not good in snow as well unless you're in 4WD (actually 2WD in 4WD). It's a Dana 80 on a 01. 5 2500 SO TDC 5 spd. Any suggestions as to what brand and type of limited slip to install? Can I do it on my own? I've rebuilt a few engines and work maintenance (sometimes) in a power plant. Never rebuilt a transmission before in a car but have on ATVs.

I would say that for stock type limited slips the "Power Lock"is prob your only bet for the dana 80 there aer other brands but not sure if there made for a dana 80 you might try http://www.ring-pinion.com/ any way good luck!
