Best Mileage Box?

With the fuel going higher... Who's box will give the best mileage gains? I mean both stock HP/TQ and over "stock"? And _if_ there was a "mileage" box that kept the truck "stock" or better would you buy it?

In phone conversations, both TST and Banks claim better fuel mileage at the lower settings. I got my doubts.

I can't attribute it soley to my Edge w/Att because I installed it, the AFE/TT/PG7 and did the TSB all about the same time. I don't know if one of these mods was the sole contributor or if it was a combination of them all.

BUT ... . My mpg's went up about 1. 5 - 2 mpg city and about 2. 5 - 3 highway. All these things were done in my quest for better mpg's, not HP or torque increases.

I keep it set at level 3 for around town. Rarely ever go above 3 ($2. 39/gallon!).

I picked up 1. 5-2mpg highway when I installed my TST. I can currently get 20 mpg if I drive nice..... right, like that happens

Thats what I saw with my TST box-about 2 more mpg around town and 3 more on the hiway as long I drove the same way as I did without the box.

Just remember that to get a mileage gain from the TST you need a turbo that spools easily such as the stocker or the KS-B1. Low boost at cruise and you won't get much timing advance. The timing map is 1* to 12* additional advance spread out over a 1 to 20 lb boost map. So the more boost you carry at cruise the more fuel saving advance you get. Since my twins only cruise at 6 to 8 lbs most of my gains in mileage are gone, but the trade off was worth it to me.
