What is(are) the best performance improvement(s) that can be done to a 1996 2500 Ram Automatic that will result in an increase in horsepower that will not significantly reduce the reliability of the drive train?
I am thinking about an AFE Air Filter for starters. From there, I'm not sure of the best solution (fuel pump modes, chip, etc. ). I have a 10'11" Lance camper and a boat that I pull on occasion and would like to improve the pulling performance. How high is a safe HP with the automatic transmission and stock torque converter?
Thank you for your thoughts.
