2 threads in succession about trucks being stolen got me thinking about a kill switch for my truck. Granted these were close to the border but that doesn't mean it won't happen here

I do have an SP Diesel box and I know that removing the actual controller with the wiring hooked up is a geed deterrant but it doesn't take much to remove the 2 connectors and return to stock.

My question is what is the best way to go about doing this? Ignition wire from ignition switch or fuel pump control or is there another good way of doing this?

the more we post the more they know

not to sound unhelpful but I think that the more we post ideas about where and how to put kill switches in the more we help the theives whihc I would not be at all surprised read such forums like these to get ideas... . If you do a search it has been discussed before there were some good ideas but I like ot keep mine somewhat vaugue...

I've got a hidden fuel shutoff inline with my FASS system I put on to make changing fuel filters easier. Nice thing about that one is that the thief will make it into traffic, the truck will die out, and they'll be stranded in the middle of the road with no idea on how to restart it. It is easily accessible for me (since I know where it is ;) ) and the best part is it only cost me $3!!! Of course, ANY vehicle can get stolen if someone is using a flatbed wrecker to take it... nothing to stop that. :(

I saw a post somewhere about Powerlock. Has anyone looked into this system? It integrates with the electrical system and must be ON for the truck to run. If it is tampered with, it is still OFF and the truck won't start.
