I have a Westpro fuel pressure guage installed at the at the schrader valve on the injection pump and I see around 12 PSI at idle. I have a Hypertech programmer and on stage 3 at WOT I can pull the pressure down to 1 to 2 PSI. The lift pump is new so I don't think that is the problem. My question is, is it better to measure the fuel pressure at the injection pump or before the filter?

I have a westach FP gauge and have it installed at the injection pump. Ive tried both places and I think you get a more accurate reading at the pump. As far as your fp that sounds pretty normal for a stock lp and a chip. get a fass.

Take ur measurement at the schrader valve as it gives u the psi that the

VP44 is seeing which is much more important than the pre filter pressure. Plus this way u can begin to gauge when to change your filter by how much your pressure drops.

Also I would recomend either a pusher pump or an aftermarket full system. If u are pulling the pressure to 1 or 2 psi at WOT u are most likely damaging ur injection pump.
