Why do you need the entire column? I'm just checking before you spend the money. If it is the lower column bushing that is bad in your column..... easy fix. If you are hearing a squeeking sound up top... . clockspring. Just trying to help.
Thanks for the replies, Cummins 724 I have already done the Dbazley bushing repair. When I grab the steering wheel I can move it up and down and side to side. All Info I have read points to the upper bearing which is a nonservicable part.
I've not done the upper bearing in a Dodge but have done at least 6 of them in Fords..... Dealer said it wasn't serviceable yet we pulled it apart and found the bearing at a local bearing house and replaced them... . The first one was 3-4 hours and when we sold the last truck... we could do them in under 2 hours...
