Boys, I am going to try to squeek in under the EGR and order me a truck with 4 gopher shooting doors. Bill Pierre Dodge out here in Seattle area (actually their Costco guy) would do invoice plus rebates ($2500) on a special order. Anybody got a better one? Thanks in advance, geusterman

You can get invoice-2500 here in the Vegas area. You better get something off the lot, or you will have the 2004. 5 engine. Give me details if you want me to look for what you want. If you are in Farm Bureau for over 30 days, there is another 500 off. Costs only $15/year here in NV to join as associate member.

Whatever you do, check out the prices at Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg Idaho before buying in Burlington. Bought the last 2 trucks in Idaho after shopping all over Washington. No one here came close. on the web at davesmithmotors.com Good luck!:D

Major downer about EGR. I want a weird truck... ST with auto. Lots of shopping to find it. Sigh. Maybe I should just wait and see what EGR issues are. My 02 is sweet and I can hang in there. I did check Dave Smith. I found invoice minus rebates at Pierre. People will deal. Burlington always matches but won't beat Dave Smith because they have the WA state lemon law going for them. Sigh... . Thanks boys. geusterman

Too far?

Call Christopher Dodge here in Golden, CO. It's a long way but their selection is huge. When I bought mine there were two guys that flew in from TX and CA to pick up theirs.

I just bought '04 at Lake havasu AZ, non erg, they still have about 8 different ones on the lot. With a few thousand from trade in, 2500 rebate, and some dealing, under 40k out the door.

2400 quad 4x4 HO auto, after market rims and tires ($2200 value), laramie package, Red and Chrome.

I love it, traded in 98. 5 2500 4x4.

Been talking with the local sales guy about whether or not to jump now or wait for the MY4. 5. I told him of all the different reports of '04's being held up for anti-spin rears, protection group, etc... I also asked him to poke & prod the area rep about the emmissions bit, and whether or not DC will approve jake brake usage with the 48RE. He did contact the area rep and the rep says DC still won't say a peep. He did say that there are no restrictions for the 3500 w/ Cummins; but the Timberline Green paint is gone for sure; it was discontinued 2 weeks ago. He also states that if I order now it WILL be the current '04, NOT the MY4. 5. For whatever reason they're still confident that the MY4. 5 will be a good thing, and advised me to wait 'till December to order (which will be the MY). They further said that if I wait they would honor the numbers they quoted me (the trade-in & such) 2 weeks ago. I've decided to sit tight this time and hope for the best. I got stung twice with the '03; 1st when the 48RE was introduced a week after I (finally after 12 weeks) got the '03, and again when I found out the SO couldn't pull a 5K lb trailer up a hill faster than 41 mph. The choice is to badly lug the engine in 3rd or let it rev in 2nd. Either way you crawl...

I ordered mine for $300 under invoice minus rebates. No haggling involved. I told them I wanted $300 under minus rebates and they said ok. Two previous dealers wanted $500 over minus rebates.

Nick

With business license I get to invoice and with Farm Bureau I get to $200 under. Minus rebates on top. You just wonder what the room is. On this thread we have guys saying that EGR (?) engines are in the trucks for any order now and others who hear different. guesterman

First off, orders are still being built with non-egr,

Second - I have sold many trucks to TDR members at 3% under invoice and then minus the 2500 rebate

Thats 1200-1300 dollars under invoice... Trust me when I say that no other dealers will do that,

Not to mention I will sell and in-stock diesel at 20. 5% off sticker (includes rebate)

PM me if you like, BTW ... ask "Jengle" if this is truely accurate pricing, he picked his up a few weeks ago !!

thanks!!

I bought my truck for $1,432 under dealer invoice, then subtracted another $2,800 in rebates! Oo. Oo. :D

Other dealer will also deal! :D

Bob, I know you waited a long time but which Idaho dealer (was it Idaho?) did you use? Dave Smith was right at invoice in their quote to me. Can I duplicate your deal? Idaho would be much easier for me than Louisiana for a retrieval. geusterman

Well, needless to say, the more expensive truck you buy, the more you save ($46,500 truck would be close to $1432 under invoice...

AND that this price on 2004 models, IF there was any dealer incentive at the time, I would pass that on to the buyer, So any 2003's (that have dealer incentive) out there would be even more! But all of mine have found homes already

Later!

ps. if you know any people at Chrysler, have them give you a EC number... That is about $1798 under invoice !!

Here's what I did:

I knew exactly what I was going to order, I called 3 dealers, Dave Smith, (Kellogg, Idaho), Tom Addias, (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho) and Dishman Dodge in Spokane. I told them I was bidding it out and whoever gave me the lowest price, I would order my truck. Dave Smith came in at the lowest, but Dishman Dodge has supported Diesel Thunder for the last 3 years, so I went to Butch at Dishman Dodge and asked if he could match Dave Smith's price. Dave Smith had an extra $1,000 rebate that Dishman could not figure out what it was, so I called Dave Smith with Butch sitting next to me and asked where the extra $1,000 rebate came from, the salesman laughed and said that no one could match that $1,000 rebate. He said it was $500 back on invoice and $500 off some advertising budget. Butch said ok and Dishman matched the price and I ordered it from them.

Things have really worked out well. I sold my truck last Saturday with a substantial down and the balance to be paid within 20 to 30 days. I still have the White Obsessen until then. My new truck finally got a VIN and will ship on 11/18 and should be here in Spokane around 12/08. I might be a couple of week without a truck, but that will work. :D Oo. Oo.

Thanks Big Bob. But in order to keep your promise Spokane would have had to BEAT Smith, right? At least a buck! The other value of WA state is their lemon law which apparently gives the consumer some teeth in this state. Congrats on the truck sale and your new one. I am thinking that instead of waiting for a Passat diesel wagon I will order a Laramie 3500 and make it my car as well. Seeings how the guys call the 3rd gen a minivan with a bed..... I would really miss my matcho 02 though. Shifts like butter, pulls hard and now makes 19. 5 mpg with the EZ and Piers help. But I like those 04's... geusterman

How about $432 of them! Remember I was $1432 below invoice.

By the way have you checked out the NorthWest Bombers?

http://www.nwbombers.com/

GREAT Bunch of guys there!

BB--does NW Bombers accept guys with sissy trucks??? I just met Fletcher from Stanwood WA at Piers. He and his 16 year old son have built up a 95 reg cab racer turning in the 11's. The boy is totally obsessed. Nice to see. I will check them out. The sissy truck will get a flatbed. Just going over the options tonight. Both the brochure and website are conflicting and lacking which is disappointing. A website can be changed quickly so should be up to date by a mega corporation. Printed stuff can be dated so I understand that but a website? Sorry about the math on your deal. You are a man of your word. geusterman

We not only let sissy truck in, we also let Ford and Chevy's!

Fletcher has an awesome truck, I also met them at Pier's.

Looking forward to see you on the Bombers site!:D Oo. Oo.

Ram 3500 prices

Just trying to get some feedback. I'm buying a 2004 Ram 3500

4 by 4 Laramie Pkg. H. O. diesel loaded. Side air bags, upgrade

wheels, 4. 10 anti slip, heated seats, the works. A dealer in a

southwest suburb gave me a price including tax ( Illinois sales

7. 75 %) $44,000. I forgot to mention that it's a dooley. And thats

includes a $3250 rebate. $2500 + 750. He told me that Dodge

had just extended the rebate. I just found out from a different

dealer that the additional $750 only applys to the Hemi and the

rebate stiil expires on1/2/04. I would appreciate any input, Thanks.
