Storing Vehicle in Anchorage

Hi folks I'll be getting the transmission re-built in a short while. DTT/Georend/ATS? That's another decision but it will be well done.

When I'm towing I weight in about 16500# combined.

Which are the best power mods I should look at, keeping in mind the price of fuel these days?

thanks

All my fueling/air mods are in my sig, as well as my choice for a transmission. :D It has been an excellent combo. I gained mileage with them also. Almost a solid 2mpg. Oo.

I just slid the plate full forward last week, so I haven't filled up yet.

Can't really comment on towing mileage. Most of my towing is short trips, or at slow speed with farm equipment.

No shortage of power, that is for sure. :-laf

Although I do not speak from personal experience Dave Goerend seems to be the best transmission per Dollar Ratio! ;) That's where I'll go with my next truck, and where I would have went had I known he'd existed this time last year. I would have bought and auto and saved $5K over the truck I have now... ... well $1500-2K after I got a transmission from Dave. :-laf

The best thing for the dollar you can get is the AFE air filter and 3K governor springs. I'm one of the the few that believes why add more fuel if what you got ain't burning. The 215 HP injectors, 96-98, will add the fuel if needed. All I would do with the turbo is change to a larger exhaust housing. Like a 14.

This won't be a racing upgrade but you will really notice it towing. Oh yeah, a 4 inch exhaust, too.

There are quite a number other things to do, but how far so you what to go
