It's been years since I've seen them, but you used to be able to buy rubberized metal straps that you could bolt under your rig to ground it,no zap. They went out with curb feelers, which also worked.

Pretty much the same effect of getting out of the truck with cloth seats wearing corduroy pants.

Oops, too late. What silencer ring? (More fun than my 98 SST)

since we are on the topic of leather seats, I have a question. Are the leather seats more durable than the cloth??? My almost 6yr old drivers side cloth seat is starting to tear along the seam on the outer edge from years of getting in and out of the truck. Tear starts at rear seat where hinge is for the back of the seat to flip forward, and extends along the edge of seat seam for about 2-3inches.

Need to get into an upholstery shop or something and get it repaired/sewn before I need to replace the seat.

Do the leather seats need lots of TLC and maintenance with all those special cleaners and conditioners???

Briar, if you'd just do as suggested and use the step instead of sliding out of my slightly higher than normal truck, then you wouldn't get shocked. It was a good jolt though!
