Best Service Manual

Wanted to know who has the best service manual for our trucks? Should I but it trough DC or is there somewhere else I can get one.



If anybody knows could they give me the DC part# for the manual. This would save me from having to spend a hour trying to get the parts guy to look it up.

Big D, the aftermarket manuals might be of some use if you have an outhouse. Get the official Dodge service manual. I ordered my '95 manual from the parts department at the same time I ordered my truck. It's getting kind of shabby now since it's been used so much. If you consider the hourly rate you have to pay Dodge then you know that the service manual would be a bargain if it was twice the price.

My favorite manual - Dodge OEM, that's my final answer. The aftermarket manuals are great - they keep the Ddoge manual from falling closed when your hands are greasy

Don,t bother with the dealer, just go on line to the Dodge web sight to order it. You get it faster and it costs the same.

One book. That is true for both my '95 as well as my Y2K.



I second the opinions. The factory manuals are very good.



Regarding the outhouse: When I got my '95 (my first Dodge, my first diesel) I set the manual on the toilet tank. It took a while, but I eventually read all the parts that pertained to my truck. I'm not doing it again for the Y2K.
