Auto Zone has a useable shock that has a "lifetime replacement warranty". They worked great on "Old Ugly". Wont bust the bank, either! GregH

I just put a set of Pro Comp ES 9000's on mine a few weeks back. Probably not the best for it, but a helluva lot better then waht was on there! Lifetime warranty on them too!:)

There are as many opinions as there are shocks on the market! It's Billstine for me, had them on three trucks now after Rancho's. No comparison Try Geno's for a good deal and good service.

The truth is shock absorbers can only dampen or suppress compression and rebound when the truck hits bumps. Shocks are not going to moderate harsh suspension. If anything, tight shocks will make the ride stiffer. I've never owned a Gen I Ram but have read and heard that they rode pretty stiff.

My personal choice for long life and good ride in Gen II and Gen III Rams is Bilsteins. Like Denny Day above I've run them on two previous Rams and am getting ready to install them on my current one as soon as the UPS truck from Geno's arrives.
