Best smarty software after new computer installed?

My truck recently had a new computer installed in it and it was flashed with the most recent flash as compared to the flash that was in my truck when purchased in Nov. 05. Now my smarty does not reconize the new software. What would be the best software to load to the smarty or is there only one option?

Not sure on the software, sounds like you may have some other problem, was the truck on stock when they changed the computer? Actually I am more curious as to why they changed your computer in the first place.

If the computer was swapped with the Smarty installed in the old one, you have lost your programming as the smarty recognizes only the computer it is progammed to.



Call Bob, he might be able to help. Although you may be in trouble, if I remember correctly you may have voided the Smarty warrenty by not reinstalling the stock programming before taking it in for work.



I can't really help past that as I have only read the paper work.

If he was running one of the old programs, it won't work with the new DC software.



I would just grab one of the files off the site. They seem to be the best out there since the ones you had.



If you want one that has less timing rattle, try an aftermarket injector tune.

Byron is right on. The smarty just needs to be updated with the latest smarty software off the net.

-Truck was parked at airport for 3 weeks

-smarty not installed

-tried to start truck

-batteries were a little low but turned over enough that it should have started

-then batteries likely only lasted for another 30 seconds till dead

-noticed shift indicator lights were not lit.

-tried to read codes with smarty but it would not comunicate

-unhooked batteries,recharged both,checked all fuses,tried different key,still no start.

-towed to dealer

-they could not communicate with commputer either.

-replaced main computer,still no communication

-replaced whole fuse panel box under hood(some plug pins were corroded off on back of box)

-still no communication.

-they then walked away confused with the battery cables unhooked and recharged the batteries.

-2 hours later they came back hooked up the cables and they had full communication(not sure why)

-noticed shift indicator lights were back on

-reflashed computer with newest flash

-truck started right up

Nobody is really sure what happened or why. Truck seems to be working fine now . It actually seems to be working better in stock form now then it did before. I just need to get my smarty back in it.

There might have been some kind of electrical glich, my isspro trans temp guage was flicking all over the place for about a month before this happened and now its working perfect.
