I'm looking for something to stack with the smarty on my late 06 truck. I bought a TST, but found out it wouldn't work luckily before I had any problems. So whats a good stack for the late 06 trucks? Or should I just go with injectors? Anybody got any dyno #'s on the late 06 trucks with different combos?

I'm planning on a Smarty, some injectors, and a MP-8 or Quad X2 module.

In fact, with all the programs available for the new Quad, I think that will be the cat's meow, so to speak.

I ran the first Quad Xzillaraider (both reg. and race version) on my '03 and they were great. But I preferred the infinite adjustment of the MP-8.

Plus, the MP-8 does some cool boost fooling that helped get the TST fueling sooner.

Since neither one of us can use a TST, this does not matter...

But, if you do have a need, you may be able to get Quad to write you a custom program.

cheers!

I have only used one of quads products back when the 3rd gens first came out. I may try it again though. I like the MP-8 ok. Never got to dyno one, but seat of pants difference with or without mp-8 isn't much in my experience.

Maybe wait til sometime early next year. I beleive Quad will have an Adrenaline upgrade available on I think the X2... its supposed to put out TST-comparable power. Im waiting on stacking modules. Im going to upgrade to either a Stg. 2 CP3 or go duals, either a SilverBullet or twins, big injectors. That should put me around 600+. This will hopefully be done next year, along with transmission, studs, etc. By then Ill be looking at either the Quad Adrenaline or maybe hopefully TST and/or Van Aaken C5 will be compatible on the 06-07 trucks.

Wow! My MP-8 dynoed at 112hp gain at the wheels. The increased bottom-end was ridiculous. Made for a good smoke show, too...

I guess I'll order the MP-8 and see if I like it. Maybe a Quad later. I've used the MP-8/Smarty stack on several trucks, but never have been impressed. I always expect more than what stuff does though.

I picked up an Edge Juice, and MP-8 to run with the smarty.

The juice didn't help anything. . But does give me the cooldown timer I have been missing! Every setting I turned the juice up, I lost power.

I have not tried the MP-8 yet because I need to have it flashed for the 07. Also, I didn't want to run two pressure boxes. The smarty program I am running adds pressure.

Run 1, smarty 9

Run 2, Smarty 9, Juice 1

Run 3, Smarty 9, Juice 2

Run 4, Smarty 9, started at very low RPM for smoke show. :D

Got the MP-8. WOW!. I love it. I have only ran them on 6 speeds in the past. And with no rail pressure guage. I have the Optix rail guage now and it really helps with tuning the mp-8. Around 60-65%, it really picks the truck up on top. Thats about 25-26k on the rail guage. Anything less or more seems to be a little weaker. I'm gonna go ahead and get the quad too and compare the two. Anybody used the TS Performance digital guage or the quad guages? How do you like them?

The MP-8 is a great box...

I'm glad you like it!

Cool thing about using the Quad Commander is that it can control the MP-8. You basically have 10 settings instead of the knob. I think the Quad rail pressure readings are pretty accurate from what I hear.

Can the MP-8 be detected by the dealer? I'm looking for just a little more and since I can control it with my comander its very tempting?

Well I found out today after buying a MP-8 that the software for the Quadzilla commander to control the MP-8 is still a few months away. This doesn't set well with me since it is advertized to control it, I wonder what other boxes it cant do right now. up till now I have ben very happy with stuff from Quadzilla, they could have atleast said not yet but coming soon. I'm not big on bashing companys but this just got me when I am not in the mood for BS

whats the build date on your truck?

mines 06/06 and ive been running my TST with the only problem really being the raid pressure.

the folks at TST suggested i swap the rail pressure sensor with one from an older truck & it should work properly

Its not the MP-8 that the issue it the fact that the commander can't control it :( yet

I think you may have some bad info...

The guy who bought my old Smarty and MP-8 is using it on his truck with a Commander and translator module. He runs his MP-8 on "4" or something. Instead of infinite adjustability, you're adjusting 10 levels...

Where did he get the translator for it? I e-mailed quadzilla and they told me it would be months before it was ready.
