2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Best Tire Combo???

I have a 2000 4x4 2500 6sp 410's. I purchased this truck with 305's on it 3 weeks ago. Of course, the tires rub and it seems that the mpg are down due to the wider tire.



I believe the stock tire is the 265.



Do you all have an opinion on what the best size tire and brand is for a guy who drives 90% interstate and 10% of that time with a load of less than 10k?

Well with the low geared OD in the 6 speed and 4:10 gears, the taller the tire the better you will be for interstate driving. Just do not turn that sharp or put a leveling kit on it. SNOKING

With a 01 a 285 would probably be pretty good with 4. 10's. I have 3. 54s with 35" tires and that dropped my mileage to 19 on the hwy, luckily the Cummins has enough tq. to overcome the tall gears and bigger tires.
