I am in the process of buying a 2001 2500 4x4 that will be mainly used for towing my car trailer. The truck needs a set of tires.

I was going to use the 265/75/16 optional size, but it seems that load range E tires in this size are limited.

What are the other options out there, and what seems best for this type of application?

Tom, There a bunch of E rated tires in that size. I just put Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo's on my truck. Go to Tirerack and check out there selection. Jeff

I also have the Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo's on mine. I went with 285's and D load range to better fill up the wheel well. Had them on the truck for about a year. They offer great wet and dry traction. They have an agressive looking tread and are a 50,000 mile radial.

Guess I will have to third the REVO's. I just put on my second set. First set right at 60k out of them. Only place they dont seem to be good is in deep/gooey mud. There are definitely others out there as well and shouldnt be too hard to find load range e.

The search must have not have been working properly on the tire rack earlier today. There are a lot more now.

Are the revo's really worth 152 each? That's a lot of green.

The factory Michelin's are $175-$195 each. Check around your area for price. I don't know where your at in Pittsburgh but Phil's tire in Fayette City has good prices on tires. There phone #724-326-5630 You might want to give them a call. Jeff

My 01 4x4 turned 100,000 last night with the factory Michelins LTX M/S tires. I would keep them on longer but it will be snowing soon. Mostly unloaded highway miles and some pulling my travel trailer.
