best way to drain fuel ?

My truck seems to have some bad fuel. I went to a newly opened fuel station and the fuel is not pure diesel although that is what the pump said. I need to find a way to drain the tank, without removing it if possible. Any ideas on how to trigger the pump relay? thank brian

The last time I had to do this was in a gasser but it worked to just pull the line loose from the pump and let it run into GI cans since the tank was higher (4x4). What about hooking up one of those fluid pumps for drills?



I would hesitate to use the lift pump since they are fragile already and running bad fuel through it can't be good. It you still want to use the pump, can't you just hot wire it to the battery without using the relay?

About 5-6 feet of rubber hose and siphon out the bad stuff - unless there's a restricting device in the fill hose on your truck, and then you hafta disconnect the rubber fill hose from the metal filler neck... Or go thru the smaller vent tube...

I got it drained. I ended up taking the filler neck hose off and using a siphon took ten minutes for 15 gallons.
