I am looking for better stopping power pulling my trail. I have a complete front axle out of a 2002 and am wondering if it is worth the work to change it out to have stronger braking power?

yes i did it to mine and it makes a tone of difference but to make a huge difference you can put 03 and up calipers and caliper mounting brackets and roters on the 02 axle they will bolt right up, thats what I did to my 96

I also have the rear axle of the 2002 but its a srw. I had the rear end total rebuilt before the whole truck took a crap. Now I am wondering if I should do a dually adapter and use it. I've heard mixed reviews on those adapters what do you think?

problem with the dually adapters is that it loads the bearings different than they were designed for but if you not hauling real heavy than i don't think it would hurt anything the rear brakes don't do a whole lot if your not loaded heavy, i had done an egr rear disk conversion on my original Dana 70 in my truck i did not notice any difference except for my e-brake was even worse with the egr kit, the only reason I did the rear disk conversion is cause I hate working on drum brakes
