I've been puzzled about this for a while now.

As soon as I get below a quarter of a tank of Diesel or Biodiesel, with fresh filter or not, I get increased performance. Truck accelerates faster, Boost (35psi) climbs much higher and faster, and EGT's climb much higher and faster.

I've dropped the tank and looked at the fuel sending unit, and it looks ok. I don't see anything broken, have cleaned screens, and it moves up and down freely.

Am running #100 plate, not quite all the way forward. Have boost elbow adjusted to allow a max of 35psi.

Scratching my head. I know the lighter the truck the faster it will take off, and below a quarter of a tank I'm losing a couple hundred pounds. I don't think it should make that much of a difference though. The deal is how much faster the truck revs, climbs to max boost and my self imposed max egt of under 1200...

Do I have a bad fuel sending unit that works best when there is little fuel in the tank? Do I have an intermittent air leak that magically fixes itself at a 1/4 tank? I've removed fuel tank cap, and that doesn't make a difference.

Truck is on 1/8 tank right now and it hauls fanny compared to 1/4 tank and above.

I'm most grateful for feedback.

If you had air leak in pickup tube it would start running bad once the fuel got lower then the hole.

I am thinking bad pressure roll over /relief valve (Near top of tank module) connected to tank vent.
