Beware of 4Wheel parts wholesalers. While their prices may seem great their customer service is horrible. I just recieved my Hi-Lift jack . It was a 48" instead of the 60" that I ordered. When I talked to the head guy at customer service he said no problem, just send it back and he'll send me the taller one. Well, when I asked who was paying for shipping on the wrong one he said I was. When I told him that I'd really rather not have to pay like another 30$ to send back a jack I didn't order,he basically said that it was my fault for ordering the wrong jack in the first place. I told him that it was highly unlikely that I would order a short one when I've been looking at these for a month now and since I'm planning on lifting my truck and putting on 35" tires a 48" jack wouldn't really work for me. That's when he basically insinuated that maybe I had changed my mind in the meantime. Now I don't like to be called a liar, but I swallowed my anger one last time and tried to reason with this guy. I told him why would I pay 80$ for a 48" jack. Then to my surprise,I find that 80$ is the price for the short one also. Sounds like the old bait and switch to me. I mean this guy was slick, his responses sounded so scripted. He knew it was my word against his salesman. I called my credit card company to put a stop payment and they said I really didn't have a case. They also couldn't believe that such a large company could treat me like that. Well they've lost my business and I won't be recommending them to any friends soon. Just a heads-up for anybody thinking about ordering from them.

Yup, had a simialr experience with them with a LockRight for an older chevy. Now I have any place I order stuff from fax me over a hard copy o fthe order before I will give a cc# so that I can have proff if they screw up.

Not surprising to hear about your level of service. Go to any 4x4 web site and you'll see the same type of problems being reported. Let's just say, I'll never let them ever work on my 4x4 or setup the ring/pinion gears.

disclaimer: not affliated with anyone.

4-wheel parts wholesale

I don't doubt your negative experience one bit but I will have to say that the half dozen times I've dealt with them I've been very happy. I was even referred to a cheaper source for a part that they carried by their own salesman! On another occasion I was given the phone number of a contact in another company for a part that they did not carry and was also given an order # from 4-Wheeler so the second company could send me the part directly for a price that 4-Wheeler would have paid. Saved big bucks and time. Guess it is all in who you happen to get on the other end of the phone.

Different company but... ... .

I've had a lockrite on order since September, I think I win the patience game. Why am I not jumping up and down, one reason is it won't change anything, the other is it's not racing season.
