Beware how you order from lmc truck

I ordered a new black grill shell for my 01 2500 from LMC. They sent the wrong one. Grey with black inserts. When I spoke with customer service the employee told me to ship the grill back and they would send me the right grill with no shipping charges.

Okay, that sounded good. So I took the box that the grill came in to my local UPS shipping center. Are you ready for this? It would cost me $98. 00 to ship the grill back to LMC!!! #@$%! Now that is a bit much!! I will keep the grill and paint it to match. #@$%!

So the lesson is, buyer beware and make sure you make it "Chrystal clear" to the sales person what you want. Make them go over your order again to make sure THEY understand what you want. To say the least, I'm ******!

Why doncha just call them back and politely insist that they email you a UPS return shipping call tag... that way they will pay for all the shipping, except the original s/h charge that you paid when you first ordered the grill. As long as it is their shipping mistake and not your ordering mistake, I see no reason why they would not do so.

I have had only decent customer service from LMC over the years, though everyone slips up now and then. But as long as it is not your ordering mistake, they should be willing to cover the return shipping charge either with a call tag, or a refund once they receive the item back in good condition.

Try talking to a supervisor ... like I said, I would be polite, but firm. Good Luck, please let us know what happens...

Ooops... I just read your original thread and realized that LMC sent you your body parts without shipping charges cause of the size of your order. You gotta admit that's pretty cool... but it DOES make for a problem in terms of who pays for return shipping.

At this point, I would suggest that you ask them to send you a return call tag on their UPS account, but that you are willing to pay for the UPS charge that they incur with your credit card. Due to the volume on thier shipping account, their rate is likely at last 40% or more less then what UPS quoted you over the counter. An LMC supervisor should be able to tell you the cost then and there over the phone and you can agree or not. Most all companies now are set up to offer discounted return shipping on their UPS account.

I hope this helps a little. Like I said, please let us know how it turns out.

Well I had posted a thread two months ago that I ordered LED lights from Recon. I did not receive the complete order and still have not received any refund. Paypal?? what gives? This after being promised a refund was due, when the credit dept called me,after a credit charge back. Anyone have ideas?I need help.

I bought an upper and lower front bumper trim from LMC. I was going to be charged oversize item on both pieces. I told them to put them in the same box and only charge for one oversize item. They told me the parts came from two different locations. Two days later, I received one big box, with both items in the same box. I was charged for two oversize items. I called and talked to customer service. They looked up my order and claimed eventhough they charged me for shipping on two oversized items, the shipping cost them more than what I was charged. They were going to send me a gift certificate for part of the shipping cost of my order, but I have not seen that yet. I received the new LMC catalog and noticed that they changed their policy and if all oversize parts can fit into the same box, customer will be charged for only one oversize item. Hmmm.

i think the name of the company on EBAY pershin or perkins. can't remember. I have a complet black plastic grill from them shipped to my house was less than 45$ it fit and was molded nicely.

I called customer service and was told they would ship the right grill with no shipping charge once they recieved the wrong grill. Fustrated I decided to keep the grill. Today while ordering more parts from them, the sales person said customer service would help me. He transfered me to customer service where I was told they would now send out a UPS pick up slip. Problem is, I have since thrown away the box the wrong grill came in. So now they want me to buy the right grill and then they will send a pick up label and then refund my money once they get the wrong grill back.

I've now spent almost $3000. 00 with them. I will just paint the wrong grill black and be done with it. Not a very good experience for so much money spent!!!
