I advertised and sold a TST #6 plate in the TDR want adds. A person named Robert Ramsey (trades2much) from Albany Ore. contacted me and wanted to buy it. I sent him the plate with all the directions and bost elbow. I told him he didnt have to send a check until he received the stuff. I added "if you cant trust a TDR member then who can you trust". He e-mailed me back and said he received the parts and all looked good and the check was in the mail. (where have I heard that before). Long story short it has been over a month and still no money. He sent another email saying he sent it accidently to another person and would get it right out. 2 weeks later still no check. I now have this sudden urge to have a cigarette because I think I just got screwed. Live and learn. To bad everyone is not as honest as the rest of us.

Beware do not do bussiness with this person.

I made the same mistake with a member at a dyno meet in Illinois 2 years ago. I actually met him and told him to just send me the check when he had the funds available. It was for a set of guages that we both knew he needed since he had a 24 valve and a chip on the truck. I did second guess my judement of members last fall and sent a intake elbow to a guy in CA who actually was a man of his word. Kudos to the guy in CA, but the guy in IL better hope I dont run across him in Dixon on one of my many travels through or he will be shy one window and a set of guages with a pillar pod! I have no remorse for thieves and liars!

I have sold items twice to fellow TDR members once I sold my 10 lug 22. 5" wheels & tires and another time a brand new Walbro pump that I did not use and have had great experiences both times and got to talk to some great fellow TDR members.

Sorry to here you had a bad experience but I would not hold that against everyone else, it just shows you were the better person by trusting him and I believe good things return to good people.

Thanks for the heads up. I've sold a few things in the classifieds and I've had nothing but good experiences with TDR members. I guess this proves there's always a bad apple in the bunch.

Im not sure he is a member. I asumed he was a member because he responded to the add I posted in the TDR website. His handle (trades2much) sure sounds familiar though. Anyway its not the money that bothers me it is the principle of the whole thing. I sold a set of stock mirrors a few years back to a member on the east coast and all worked well.

I will continue to trust TDR members as I have in the past. I e-mailed him and told him "what goes around comes aroiund" Maybe some day some one will treat him the same way.

David I feel for you since I know the your style. I have only been burnt a couple of times from dellow tdr members.

I hold their feet to the flame still in hopes they make it right.

Theives suck! period #@$%! but to be burnt by a fellow member is unexcusable but I doubt trades was a member.

No trades2much on the TDR membe list. This kind of thing really stinks. Don't worry, karma will get him.

So far I have had excellent luck both buying and selling things on TDR. :)

I was burnt 1 time on the LOSTKJ"S Jeep Liberty forum by a guy from Canada. I "Donated"#@$%! a roof rack to him. I was out about $150 for that.
