I have a 2006 2500 Ram CTD with about 6. 000 miles on it. The truck came with Rugged Trails as the OEM tires. I only use the truck occasionally to pull my track car(open trailer) and sometimes just around town. The first time that it got wet outside I was shocked when the truck went sideways going up the hill, without my trailer on it. The next time it happenned I had the trailer on the truck, but no car. I had to stop and put the truck in four wheel drive and feather the gas to finish the trip. Everytime it got wet I had this problem.

After spending countless hours on this site I decided to go out and buy the E rated Revo Duelers. Then I thought to myself, what am I doing? This is an 11 month old truck that I can only drive when it is sunny out. So I went back to the dealer, who told me that they would do nothing. I the sent an email to BF Goodrich and explained the situation. I promptly got an email back that told me to go to the local tire dealer for an inspection. One phone call from the dealer to BF Goodrich and I now have FIVE new E rated All Terrains on the truck at no cost whatsoever.

I know that there are better tires out there, but the All Terrains were highly rated compared to the Rugged Trails. I am pleased.

Wish I had known that. I dumped the rugged trails right away for BFG ATs when I got my 05 as well because of the poor wet and snow performance.

I bought my truck in February, by mid-March I was looking at aftermarket wheels and tires because of traction issues in the rain and snow. I pulled mine off the truck in the first few thousand miles, they are still sitting mounted on the stock rims in the garage. Thanks for the heads-up, I am going to contact them and see if I can get replacements.

I did point out the ratings on the Tirerack website for the Rugged Trails (57 million miles can't lie)

Also, the local tire dealer is very important in the process. Use a dealer without an attitude and who genuinely wants to help.
