Just had a set installed on my truck today on the factory 8" aluminum rims and they fit the truck just right. #ad
We installed a BFG 315/75R16 on one of the fronts just for s**** and grins to see if they would work. They were very close to working and looked real nice. There was plenty of clearence but the tire would barely rub the track bar on a lock to lock turn. I debated but ultimately decided to play it safe with the 295's. I also picked up some Pro Flaps mud flaps. Very nice and heavy duty but expensive. Need to get them installed ASAP so I won't ruin the paint on the rocker panals with those BFG's.

Bill,

University, WA. is that next to Spokane, WA? If so we are almost neighbors. If you haven't installed the Pro-Flaps yet, take a look at the Northwest Custom. www.omnicast.net/nwcustom/index.htm

I have Pro-Flaps and I wish I would of known about the Northwest Custom Flaps. I haven't seen any flaps that look better or better quality than the Northwest Custom Flaps! They are made in Rockford just south of Spokane.

Big Bob,
University Place is south west of Tacoma just north of Lakewood. UP just established itself as a city in the last couple of years and may not even be on the map yet.

I have not installed the Pro-flaps yet. I will give NW custom a look. I heard very good things about their products. Thanks

Bill

Bill,

Will the 295's fit in the spare tire area? The 285's I have now fit with only about 1/2" or so left over.

Sean,
I don't know if they will fit or not. I did not replace the spare. If I get a flat, I'll just have to put the smaller spare on the rear and drive to the first repair shop. I wonder if DC's roadside assistance includes remote wilderness areas. #ad

Bill, you might want to pick up a spare that is the same size. You don't want to drive with the smaller spare on the rear with the LSD in the rear. You'll heat the clutch packs up if you go very far down the road.
Otherwise, if you have a flat, the spare has to go up front only.
